*Health HERO will be in the building this morning, for student flu vaccines starting around 8:30 am. Students, please check e-hall pass for your pass to go to your flu shot. 

*Attn Seniors: Friday, September 30th, the yearbook staff will take your class photo right after Mod 2. We will meet at the front entrance behind the brick "Gettysburg" wall. Be prompt, we will take the photo in a timely manner in order to get seniors out to their HACC classes. Thank you, Yearbook Staff

*This Friday’s Spirit Week theme is “Black Out”. Student council will be selling black t-shirts for $10 during all (3) lunches today and tomorrow only.

*Spirit Week theme Thursday- Dress as a Soccer Mom/Basic Dad

*Attention FFA members- our Battlefield Chapter is looking for volunteers to help with this year’s Apple Harvest which will take place the first two weekends in October, on the 1st and 2nd   and                  8th and 9th. If volunteering, you will gain free access to the Apple Harvest and the cost of one meal will be covered. Additional incentives will be awarded to those who are currently enrolled in a Fall Semester Ag. Ed. course. See Mrs. Kennedy or Mrs. Scott to sign up!

*FBLA Members: Don’t forget to pay your dues and have field trip permission slips back to advisors by September 30!

Looking Ahead

*Triangle Tech is a trade school offering 16-month Associate in Specialized Technology degrees in Carpentry and Construction Technology; Maintenance Electricity and Construction Technology; Welding and Fabrication, CADD with Additive Manufacturing and 3-D Printing; and Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning. They also have a new 8-month Diploma Program for Industrial & Structural Welding. Schools are located in Pittsburgh, Greensburg, DuBois, Sunbury, Bethlehem and Chambersburg. If you are interested in learning more about Triangle Tech, sign up for an Open ARC, hosted in Mrs. Sieg's classroom, on October 5. This is available to the first 20 students who sign up.

*Picture makeup day is next Thursday, October 6. Please be sure to have your picture taken in order to receive your student id and to be included in the yearbook.

*Are you interested in attending a Military Service Academy? Robert Morris University, in Pittsburg, is hosting an event for students interested in attending the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Coastguard Academy, or the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. The event will include Academy Liaison Officers from each service academy and a detailed explanation of the Congressional nomination process. The event is being held on 10-6-22 from 6 to 9 pm. Stop by the Counseling Center if interested in signing up.

 *Any 10th, 11th, or 12th grade students that are interested in signing up for the ASVAB exam that will be held on Tuesday, 10/11/22, please stop by the Counseling Center to sign up.

*Any 10th grade students interested in taking the PSAT exam on October 12th should sign up in the Counseling Center Office and bring in cash or check in the amount of $18 (checks should be made out to GASD). There is a limited number of spots for 10th grade students to sign up. Students must have the money with them in order to be able to sign up. All 11th grade students will take the PSAT exam at no charge.

* Democracy does not work when voters do not vote. Be part of the solution! Register or learn how to vote today during all three lunches. A voter outreach team, sponsored by the Amnesty Club, will be on campus to help eligible students register to vote, or answer any questions you may have about the voting process.
