ARC News

~History Club will meet this Wednesday, 3-29-23, in B-117, Mr. Willard's room, during the resource period. All are welcome! Sign-up in Flextime Manager

~Not sure what to do for ARC today? Come to the LGI to meet some members of local government for Meet Your Local Government Day. Members of the Gettysburg borough council and our own school board will be in the LGI to answer all of your respectful questions about what being in local government means, both to them and to us. Come join Mr. Jurney and Mr. Houser and their government classes to learn firsthand what it means to serve in local government.

 

Ultimate Frisbee

~As the daffodils bloom and the Powder Puffs BOOM, it can mean only one thing: Ultimate Frisbee Club is back!! Fill up your water bottles and lace up your cleats for the high-flying action. The first club meeting will be after school on Monday, April 3. We will meet briefly in B125, Coach Dolly's room, and then hit the pitch for some hot competish!! Ultimate will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 - 4:30. See you there!!

~Join in the fun for the MiniTHON sponsored Powder Puff football game on April 1st, at Warrior Stadium. The first game begins at 5pm. General admission is a $2 donation, while any other amounts will be greatly appreciative. Let’s tackle childhood cancer together. Remember all proceeds go FOR THE KIDS!

 Reflection from the Warrior Way Lessons

~The final reflection comes from Senior Brianna Rosado - Success is being happy with my life, loving my job, and the people around me. I can ensure I stay on the path to success by making sure I'm taking the necessary steps to get where I want.

Hershey Park Deadline

~Seniors, you have 7 hours to turn in your registration, payment, and form to the nurse’s office to be eligible to go on the Hershey Park Senior Day on May 19th.

Final Thoughts

~Just a reminder to first semester ART students, pick your artwork, prints and sculpture out of the gallery showcases or see art teachers for retrieval before the end of March 2023.

Warrior Shout Outs!

~The Gettysburg Chess team wrapped up their 2022-23 season last weekend at the PA State Scholastic Chess Championships. Competing among a section of 21 teams, the Warriors brought home a 5th place trophy with their 12-point finish. Individually, Mark Rhoads earned a 10th place trophy with his 3.5 out of 5 points. Congratulations to all of the Chess Warriors!

~Congratulations to members of the Warrior Math Team who competed in the Millersville University High School Math Contest. In the team competition, Sophia Neely, Philip Neller, Max Ma and Patrick Flaherty came in 2nd place among 23 schools. And in the individual competition, Patrick placed 2nd and Max 3rd among the 96 students that competed. Way to go Warriors!!!
