Gettysburg Writers Brigade Gives $1300.00 to GAEF to Promote Literacy and Writing Skills
Will Hutchison, founder of the Gettysburg Writers Brigade, presented a $1300.00 gift to Todd Orner, GAEF Director/President, during the group's weekly meeting on June 2, 2021 at O'Rorke's Pub and Eatery in Gettysburg.

This very generous gift comes from the royalties of the Gettysburg Writers Brigade's first group publishing project: "Four Score and Seven Stories Ago: A Gettysburg Writers Brigade Anthology" (available via amazon.com and smile.amazon.com).

This gift will be used to promote literacy and writing skills in the classrooms of Gettysburg Area School District. The gift will also cover fees for GAHS and GAMS students submitting writing entries in the annual Scholastic Art and Writing Awards competition.
The Gettysburg Writers Brigade has been dedicated to the craft of writing for over ten years. The group shares and discusses writing techniques, brainstorming ideas and publishing and marketing strategies. They also host local and nationally known writers who share their experiences with the group.
