Top left, from left: Jeremy Lusk, high school principal; Karen Morris, high school nurse and Andrew Robinson, communications coordinator. Karen is awarded for the transition into her new role as the high school nurse.

Recently, Karen has faced some difficult cases in the health room, but really came through for the students by connecting and communicating with the families and community resources. Karen is truly making a difference in the lives of students each day.

Top right, from left: Andrew Robinson, communications coordinator and Lesa Bird, Advancing Science/Gettysburg College. Valerie Stone, also with Advancing Science could not be present for the photo.

Lesa and Val are mobile educators through the Advancing Science program at Gettysburg College. They spend countless hours organizing materials and moving them all over the south-central PA area and to many of the Gettysburg Area Schools.

Bottom, from left: Jeremy Lusk, high school principal, Matt Heiser, coach and teacher and Andrew Robinson, communications coordinator.

Matt Heiser shows exemplary character both on and in the classroom. He provides extraordinary poise for students when they need it most. When the day is over, Coach Heiser doesn’t head home. He stays with the students, teaching them responsibility, loyalty, teamwork and most of all self-confidence and worth.
