Welcome to GASD's Transportation Office

Students receiving transportation from within the borough or within a development will be assigned to the nearest group stop. These stops are fixed locations that remain consistent from year to year to accommodate the fluctuating needs of transportation and to allow for accurate and timely routing.

Please note that bus transportation is not provided for middle school students who live within Gettysburg Borough. Van transportation is available for students in special education and must be set up by contacting the transportation office.

Our bus drivers do their best to make every stop on time, but schedules may shift slightly depending on traffic and the number of students riding each day. To help keep everything running on time, we ask families to arrive at the bus stop 10 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time.

Any pick-up/drop-off changes can be made by phone or email at least two business days in advance. For everyone’s safety, bus drivers are not permitted to make unscheduled stops or change routes. Students may only get on and off the bus at their assigned stop.

All students are expected to follow the GASD Student Code of Conduct and the rules of the bus. Repeated misconduct may result in transportation privileges being suspended. For added safety, some buses are equipped with cameras that record audio and video, which may be reviewed by drivers or administrators if needed.
