Gettysburg Area School District Save the Date Kindergarten Warrior Welcome Event

Event Information

Gettysburg Area School District (GASD) is holding its Kindergarten Warrior Welcome event on April 1 and 2 with a goal to celebrate with the Class of 2038. The Warrior Welcome event for soon-to-be kindergartners and their families will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the GASD Administration Building, 900 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg.

Incoming students and their families will have many opportunities to:

  • Engage with GASD staff
  • Complete the registration process
  • Submit necessary paperwork
  • Enjoy healthy snacks provided
  • Participate in raffles with prizes from numerous area businesses

There will also be an area for students and families to strike a pose at creative photo displays or even meet popular cartoon characters thanks to a generous donation from Adventure In Fun in Gettysburg.

Besides administrative tasks, the event ensures that families can enjoy light refreshments and interact with school administrators and staff in food services, transportation, and the nurse’s office. By fostering this early connection, the district strives to make the transition into kindergarten smooth and enjoyable, setting the stage for a successful start to their academic careers.

Engaging Families

Families are a big part of what we do. Our elementary buildings work in tandem with families to ensure success both inside and outside of the classroom for students. As part of the GASD family, parents are often invited to engaging events in our buildings throughout the school day that lead to meaningful connections and heart-warming memories.
