Notice of Board Meetings - Gettysburg Area School District 2026

The Gettysburg Area School District holds Committee of the Whole meetings known as board study sessions/voting meetings at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of the month, and regular voting meetings at 7 p.m. on the third Monday of the month, pending holidays. When a scheduled meeting falls on a holiday, it will be held on the following Tuesday. The annual School Board of Directors Reorganization meeting will be December 7 at 7 p.m., to be followed immediately by the regular voting meeting.

All meetings are held in the boardroom of the Administration Building, 900 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg, 17325 and are also available to view on the district's YouTube channel at the button below. The public is welcome to attend, and the district will observe and follow capacity and safety guidelines during the meetings.

Board Committee of the Whole

The Committee of the Whole structure is designed to increase transparency, enhance efficiency, and encourage collaboration among board members while keeping families and the community engaged in decision-making. While the Committee of the Whole primarily serves as a forum for discussion and information gathering, voting may still occur during these meetings if necessary. This structure allows board members to explore issues in depth, ask questions, and engage in collaborative discussions before decisions are finalized at regularly scheduled board meetings.

Adams County Technical Institute's Community Session

The Adams County Technical Institute held a community information session about their plans on expansion on October 16, 2025. The meeting's purpose was to share information to the community about ACTI's efforts, including the cost of building a new facility. Read about their long-term planning efforts at this link.
