    Greeting to all members of the PTO.

    Julie reported that the PTO researched ideas/pricing for indoor, socially distanced games for students to play as requested by Ms. Stump. A document was compiled and turned over to Mr. Stachelek and Ms. Stump. Mr. Stachelek said that they were taking that information and discussing which items to buy at their next meeting. He thanked the PTO for their work on this.

    Julie reported that the PTO’s sponsored family for the Warrior Winter Wishes Program will have a great Christmas. We added the mom’s wishes as well so everyone will have a happy Christmas and items under the tree! Julie thanked Linsie Jonas for doing the SignUpGenius for the event and monitoring the site. Julie thanked all who contributed.

    Julie gave a Spirit Wear Fundraising Update: the sale may be too short of a time limit to do for Christmas as the response has been less than expected, so we will do a revamp and widen the sale to a January order form turn in with a February pick-up/delivery date. Mr. Stachelek stated that deliveries could be done through the school, which will streamline the process. Linsie Jonas reported on making the GAMS PTO PayPal site and discussed opening a bank account in GAMS PTO name. The idea is being researched and it was stated the by-laws have to be completed before that happens. Wendy Brubaker volunteered to make the ordering via a Google document which will also streamline the ordering and assist in keeping track of the orders. We will update/change documents that have already gone out stating a December delivery and focus on a longer sale to hopefully allow more people to participate.

    Facebook and Instagram GAMS PTO sites were discussed. Wendy Brubaker volunteered to create the sites and Stacey Rice volunteered to assist. Mr. Stachelek said he would ask the communications director of the rules for a PTO to do this per Wendy’s request. Mr. Stachelek has already sent us the response and it is below:

    Andrew Robinson has stated that doing both sites if fine, and he just requested that links to the pages be sent to him once created. He stated that the sites should be pages and not closed FB groups.

    Julie thanked both Wendy and Stacey for volunteering.

    Next holiday treats for the teachers were discussed. Mr. Stachelek stated that the teachers would appreciate anything as they are not in school with the students and they miss the interaction. Messaging on the windows of the school was brought up again and Mr. Stachelek said that he would take point on that. Julie stated that she would make a flyer asking parents to encourage their kids to write encouraging and thankful words to their teachers when given the opportunity in school.

    Julie brought up that there are no funds to finance a larger gifting for the teachers, but that she still felt if they could do a small treat that it would be good. Karin Palmer volunteered to take on the event and make candy cane treats for all the teachers and staff. Julie said she would reach out to Kelley Riley to create a tag, Mr. Stachelek said the school would be able to print them if needed, and Julie said she would donate some candy canes. They are due to the school by Wednesday, the 16th.

    Stacey Rice brought a fundraising event to the PTO attention: Dubbs Studio has volunteered to offer a three month trial session to any student who would like it for a discounted amount and will donate the proceeds to the GAMS PTO. There was some discussion and all had a favorable opinion of this. Julie said it was a win/win and asked Stacey to get more info, ie flyer creation and more specifics.
