Nashville - Letter from Mr. Lusk

Regretfully, I write to inform you that we are canceling/postponing the scheduled trip to Nashville. While we tried to remain optimistic about the possibility of going on the trip just a few days ago, the urgency for action in response to the spreading coronavirus pandemic is intensifying. This is the best course of action for our community of musicians, as well as the broader school community. Traveling to a distant city to be involved in public events would have a multiplier effect on potential risks that is impossible to calculate. As we are charged with caring for the safety and well-being of our students, continuing with the planned trip would be irresponsible.
Please know that we are working with our travel company to explore all possible options as we move forward. These options may include refunds, rescheduling, and possible reservation exchanges (for those who may be unable to commit to a rescheduled trip). Please understand that we simply do not have answers to these possibilities just yet. Trust that we will work diligently to make the best of an unfortunate situation by managing our circle of control. While we work to protect all of your interests, know that our top priority is protecting the health and well-being of our children, our families, and our community.
