The GAHS Preschool is a part of the Adams County Tech Prep early learning program. The program's curriculum is planned and implemented by the students of the early learning program under the supervision of the early learning education teacher, Miss Luckenbaugh. These students have received over 400 hours of classroom training in child care and child development, as well as pediatric first aid.
Our location is at Gettysburg Area High School, entrance 2.
Our time together typically begins with circle time where we discuss theme centered discussions and activities, read stories and sing songs. Then, the children have play time where they are free to discover new concepts in art, dramatic play, library, literacy, math, blocks, science and sensory. Snack time is a favorite for most children. The lead teacher for the week will plan a nutritious snack for the class that will have at least two food groups and a beverage.
